I hate streaming and streamers and will never support them just for a silly mount.

That's perfectly fine for you to do, but Spofie is getting so many subs I can barely even see her chat. This is amazing.
I'm sure they'll be able to make up for the loss.
Seriously though, we don't matter. We're already "captured" by Square. This event is to boost presence outside of the game so we see another wave of sprouts during the lull before Endwalker.
Yeah, i get it’s just a pr move but it feels kinda off to me. They still could’ve promoted 14 while also helping newer streamers or lesser known streamers in some way. Instead it’s basically just SE shilling out to make bank while also helping the already popular streamers make more bank lol. While the only reward is some half baked recolored mount. Feels kinda slimy but that’s just me.
I can understand where you’re coming from, but I imagine they’re looking to reward some of their longer-standing streamers for sticking with this game for so long. XIV has never been something that can draw giga-audiences, so the content creators we’ve had tend to be moonlighters.
That’s not a negative thing, in fact it says a lot about the passion they have for the game. While it would be nice to see more incentives to begin streaming xiv, I also understand it’s important to promote those who have been creating content before we look into getting new blood.
I really really hope that they extend that list.. there are so many more deserving FF14 streamers/content creators. Just a bit disappointed :(
There's probably a lot of things that would disqualify a streamer that we don't know about. Past infractions/bans/suspensions/etc probably plays a big role.
To be honest, I think this is the dumbest thing they could've done in regards to campaigns. Reaching out to Twitch? Sure. But to be fair I would've rather we had XIV do something like I don't know, a repeat of the XV event?
It'd at the least draw people back to get the awesome car(which, to be fair, is unobtainable currently) if they didn't have it before. The other promotion campaigns that XIV did were reasonable; I'd just rather have something more substantial than "gift 4 subs randomly" since it's literally already throwing money anyhow for mounts. Definitely more effective ways of promotions that I've seen SE do in the past.
