Disappointed with SHB story.

Hindsight.

Of course he can say he was wrong for trusting him and that he 'should've known better', because of hindsight.
Hindsight can completely change the way you think of a situation once you already know the outcome.

I agree. SHB had a solid start. The filler leading up to SHB was odd and a little rushed where everyone faints and passes out. but once in the first it was a great. Then the pixie forest was fun, had some nice dungeons and great boss fights. After that...it was painful. SO MANY CHORE QUESTS. just went on and on and on. I was getting so frustrated. Not to mention I didn't care for a single one of those characters. In HW I loved the characters. Ammyeric, estinien, ysayle, alphy, haurchefant, count edmont and his two sons, hresvelgr. In stormblood, Gogetsu, Ugiri, the tribes of the steppe, Hien, Yotsuyu. I enjoyed their personality and writing. amazing.
stormblood had one fatal flaw tho. lyse. lyse and her story and what happened in ala migho was painful. But the characters in the east made it worth while.

Now in SHB, I do not care of any one of them. Emet Selch was great. Thancred was badass. Thats it. I dont care of anyone else. I was so happy to know yshtola died, for her to just come back 5 mins later. I dont care about minfilia and baby minfilia, bored me to death. The exarch pretending like i didnt know who he was from the beginning. Ranjit, who had zero development.

And i just cant stand how they keep brining people back to life! why cant they just say dead. Hauchefaunts death still hits me in the feels. Even papalymo. Stop brining people back to life. It ruins the weight in the story. If you are going to kill someone...please kill lyse. please for the love of god...(or yshtola)

Oh look who is back...Zenos..great...wonderful...i killed him...nop...hes still alive...GREAT.

Anyway..moving on...the ending of SHB made up for the terrible lows. The last half an hour was engrossing and engaging. I enjoyed every bit of it. But is it on the level of HW. No chance. The writing is just subpar. Other than emet, everyone else was just written poorly in my opinion.
