Are classes needed? POLL

The armoury system and classes are FFXIV ver1.Tanaka, just stop and think about that for one second.

I like the Idea of classes but to be honest I haven't been on one since the jobs where released even in solo play. So for me and many people I play with classes are not needed at all.

Classes = main roles
Jobs = Specs

Deal with it. That's how it's gonna work.

that line of reasoning doesnt work well

you can also then argue that 90% of the mobs in game are his, the gear slots we have are his, hell i could go on and on with stuff you cant remove

the class system is this, its the heart of the game still, jobs are NOT what the game is based on, jobs themselves are based on the armory system and classes

both work, 1 isnt going for the other, and its been stated tons of times thats the case

I'm curious to see if this class specific gear is good enough to justify playing classes in full party content. Otherwise it seems like a waste.

I was thinking that as well, upon building a spec for my MRD I remembered I loose access to Steel Cyclone........ Yeah no thanks.

Must... defend... FFXIV at... all... costs!

Mobs are FF mobs and are a means to an end they aren't a nonsensical over complex "different for differences sake" core part of the game that people who don't play FFXIV too much look at and go "wtf?".

I myself find that I use a job over a class. To be honest the class specific gear can just rot I have no use for a class anymore I can solo and party play on a job. It would seem that maybe SE dose need to get rid of the class part and just go with jobs only. I see no point in having a class and job based system. I could understand if I couldnt solo with a job but I can. Class system needs to go and just have a job system only!!

Honestly does it matter if you think the system is wrong or right? The cement has already been placed and hardened. There is no way they are going to dig up a core system(again) and they still have so much more to get done. They also are not going to stack every job on our current classes. There will be more added in the future.

If you don't like classes then only play as one from 1-30 and never look back. Even if you received more likes in your favor, this poll would still go unnoticed by any sane dev. I think Yoshi-P lacks enough sleep as it is.
