Butterfinger Promo (Chocorpokkur Mount)

I like Butterfinger, but is the mount account-wide? If not, then I won't bother since I have a track record of deleting characters. This current forum character will be the latest one to be deleted sometime this year, so no Endwalker for her.

I wish they'd just done another Amazon promotion. This is probably gonna go down poorly with a good chance that a large portion of the available codes end up going to resellers.

Also the limitation they have on their ability to make things account bound is kind of sad at this point. You'd think they would see about fixing the system lol.

1. they probably got burned too many times the last two amazon promotions where people pre-ordered stuff, got their codes and then cancelled their orders.

2. the theme is chocolate, so naturally the collaboration would be with chocolate bar. Butterfinger has worked with Square Enix before (most recently with the VII Remake). So ezpz.

3. there are system limitations that cannot be easily fixed for account wide items.

There's just so much wrong with this promotion. Here's some free marketing data for their promotions team: I like Butterfinger well enough but HFCS makes me feel like crap for a few days. I find the base mount "meh" and the recolor "ew". And then they go and make it single character? Big nope.

The rules have info for reclaiming for both NA & EU so if you have a friend in the US that doesn't mind giving butterfinger personal info and doesn't want the mount themselves, you might be able to have them treat themselves to some candy and snag you the code.

For people whining about eating the candy, donate it to your local food bank instead. Better then wasting it.
