Bro, the content is static. Interactions with other players are not. Nobody is offended at the game's content. It's the players unable to control themselves or act normal in a space that has underage players that is the problem.

I struggle to care since the only time this stuff impacts me is when I read an angry nerd's rant on this forum about it.

You're making a hell of a lot of assumptions and your logic is flawed. Just getting that out of the way first.

For starters, the rating for the game in terms of sexual influences is for Suggestive Themes. Suggestive Themes is defined as the following: "Mild provocative references or materials." So, saying that fetishes and the like are to be expected in the game due to the rating is completely false and is essentially twisting reality to fuel your own narrative. It's not cute.

Second off, if you can't take criticism from another person then I highly recommend not coming at other people as well or labeling people with incorrect assumptions or false information. You opened the door to the criticism. Don't dish out what you can't take back in return.

Third off (referring to your post on the previous page), just because you take part in the furry lifestyle and associate fetishes with cats and bunnies does not mean EVERYONE does. Not everyone thinks like you and we certainly don't live in a hive mind the last that I checked. Like ya know, I personally don't sexualize my avatar and know of plenty of other people who don't as well. A race choice does not always indicate fetish preference and it kind of blows my mind that that's the assumption you're rolling with. Do whatever you want in your personal time with whoever you want, I personally don't give a shit. Just don't go acting like everyone thinks the same way you do.

If you really think so then you clearly haven't played the likes of Tera and Blade & Soul. FFXIV is extremely modest compared to them. Those games are making a lot of money by selling a very blatant 18+ fantasy.

Disclaimer: I'm not against the existence of those games. They're just not to my taste.

There is a huge difference between the fantasy the game sells and the fantasy players try to sell. The fantasy FFXIV sells is approved by SE who must make sure the content is suitable for the age rating of the game. Hence them clamping down on erp.

In the case of this thread a player is trying to provide a service that is related to a well known fetish. SE are not trying to sell feet pics, the player is. If SE allow players to sell one fetish then others will contest about being able to provide other similar services for other fetishes. It's a slippery slope best left untouched considering the age rating of this game.

Anyone who has access to this game has access to google. They can use that to find feet pics. FFXIV is not the place for advertising services completely unrelated to the game. And I would still say this if someone was advertising a cook book. PF is for advertising activities directly related to the game. And the game as a whole is for activities that abide by the age rating and the ToS.

I did not advocate for outfit changes for the D2 remake nor did I rejoice when I found out about the sorceress's outfit. Find someone else to blame. Stop being angry with me over something I did not even do.

Btw I'm actually a huge fan of the Diablo series and I played D2 a lot a long time ago.
