The decline of the community

lol uhhh the same community you are lawding in these magical times you speak of is the same one that Square Enix had to issue some of the most restrictive community measures in MMO history to control. Prior to those restrictions FF14 community was pretty famous for some wild stuff. It was so bad that they were going to be forced to change the rating of the game lol

It is not in the game and eradicating it would be a worthless pursuit. There is no way you can control people to such an extend unless you monitor their computer, in which case that's illegal and Yoshi P acknowledged that.

This was a thing in 2.0. Again, nothing has changed, you are just more exposed to it.


Social media has grown exponentially since 2013 and 2014. Discord is used, which aggregates a lot of this, where before you had separate voice servers for every little group, and no real out of game text chat.

Social dynamics have changed a lot since the game launched. That's not the games fault. That's a societal thing.


Also the pandemic hasn't helped. People can't do anything so it comes out elsewhere.

Did they ban you at one point or something? You must have done something wrong in that case. But that's not a reason to say they're not doing their job.

I swear, sometimes people in this forum just make up problems with the community in their mind then get mad at the community for it.

It's often the same group of people LARPing as some crusader being all "crush the RP degenerancy!!1 xDD"
They must be gluttons for punishment because everytime they get mocked and made fun of. Probably due some highschool trauma or something.
