There's a difference between progression and boring mindless xp grind.
Something casuals will never understand. How unfortunate
I can already tell by your world that you will never understand the difference.
I kinda feel bad
They are both grinds, sure one is more engaging than the other. But believe it or not but a lot of casuals don't like the mindless xp grind either. But I know hardcore people that suffered the Eureka grind to throw themselves at the Baldesion arsenal to fight Absolute Virtue. It's just a different wall you've got to overcome. But I kept away from Eureka /because/ it's a mindless grind.
Bozja is still a mindless grind, but has more to break it up and progresses quicker, so for many it's not-so-bad.
Grind if anything applies to a certain type of MMO mentality, rather than casual or hardcore or whatever, stuff like Eureka and Bozja is inspired by FFXI endgame and general classic MMO endgame, which is a lot more grindy, which I understand some of the Eastern audience likes more than the Western audiences. But I wouldn't call FFXI endgame as 'casual', yet required mindless grinds as part of it. This if anything is emulated here by requiring a grind to be able to get to get to the 'hardcore' content. So dare I say, the Bozja grind is for casuals and elites alike. You hate Bozja, it's fine, there's plenty I don't like about it either, but it's a different kind of content that accommodates different kinds of players that happen to not be you and to a degree, even me. Which is why I am glad it's a lot less painful than Eureka, so it's not so much of a pain to get through.
Being able to level alt jobs was a big help with Bozja. Managed to kill two birds with one stone on my grind to r15 there. Otherwise I think I prefer Eureka (except for Pagos) over Bozja.
I mean, I see this is a lesser issue to being able to continue the relic weapon being locked behind (almost) the same grind.
But all I can do at this point is hope SE doesn't do the same in 6.X.
Or they announce straight away that they will, so we can all just pretend relics don't exist from the start.
Some day I'll learn to check who posted a thread before clicking it. Especially anything related to Bozja.
You're right. I am casual. I don't raid, I don't do ultimate.
Why? Because it feels like a mindless grind. Throw yourself at the wall until you stop screwing up. Isn't that weird, how that works? At the end of the day, they're both mindless. In fact, they're both meaningless and pointless. What do you get for clearing legend? A title and a shiny stick? Oh man, I can get that from a level 50 questline, and then some.
Do you got any other insults though? I'd prefer one I haven't heard done to death. Honestly you'd think with how much you crap on my server whenever I post that you actually like that stuff.
You try so hard to be "hardcore" tbh. I guess you were born from as ultimates already cleared. We were all casual once. That includes you too. No one becomes the top player in a day. You still need to grind gear and practise a lot to clear ultimates / savages etc. So it is still a grind. Trying to divide this as casual and hardcore grind is just sad. You try to justify yourself as a big stronk player, i honestly think it is the only thing you can show to people. Do not take this as an insult or whatever, that is what i am getting at here.
This is a game. Everyone plays as they see fit. If you don't like it, you are entitled to do constructive criticism. But you aren't entitled to dump sh*t on the content here, make yourself look some elite player who is on top of the world and be like "you casuals don't understand this and that, that's pathetic". I advise you to grow up a bit, cherish your achievements but not throw them into our faces and enjoy the game.
I'm guessing people can do ultimate in level 1 armor now because when I last checked savage like releases required you to grind for the most up to date gear.
