Island Sanctuary Appreciation Thread

I hope they keep adding content to it over many expansions. I'm tired of cool content being locked into specific expansions. Let this be permenant and fun.

I'm not expecting much more than an updated version of XI's Mog Garden. If it is I'll be pleasantly surprised, and if it's not I won't be broken up about it and just integrate it into the daily routine.

If anyone expects that, that's expecting A LOT, I think. Watered down variants that have nowhere near actual gameplay? Sure.

Clicking on nodes and very little else is exactly what I am expecting..

Yeah that's the feel I'm getting too, especially if they take XI's as a root system. That was just lots of clicking on nodes and menu-based options for not-too-deep animal rearing.

What is this mog garden everyone keeps referencing?

To many years of SE... Best to be prepared for the worst.

We could be surprised, clearly it's something that is wanted, but somehow, I think it will end up being growing food for verminion battles.

I have an appreciation for farm like games, but playing devil's advocate here I can only imagine that this is the team's attempt to make house gardening universally available. Sorta like deep sea fishing feels.

Mog Garden

The scant details they've given so far sound very much like the features available in XI's personal island sanctuaries.

I'm really looking forward to this, more than anything else that has been announced so far. However I'm concerned that SE will choose to miss a fantastic opportunity to make this feature provide instanced housing. If it does then it's an absolute win for me.

This does sound interesting even if most seems to be just getting there once a day and collecting stuff. But I really hope that in 2021 SE can do much more than that and that they will do it. If its end up just like it or worse then I wonder where all the time was put in to create this so I give them the benefit of the doubt.

At the end I am at least happy that I finally have a place where some of my minions can roam free.
