Nothin like comparing drugs to figures
That shouldn't have been any more than ~$190

You didn’t have a choice but that does not change the fact if you hadn’t been dealt a poor hand in your current life situation you wouldn’t be here saying these things. You’re using medical expenses as a reason for hating on the price. It’s not even remotely their fault or anyone’s that you were dealt that blow. To insinuate everyone else is privileged because they aren’t paying medical expenses is ridiculous.
Not sure what meaning you've been using the last two decades, but a "whale" is pretty commonly known as someone who spends more (usually way more) on something than the average player/customer. Doesn't matter if it grants an advantage, or if it's just something cosmetic.
The average XIV player definitely isn't going to drop $220 on a statue that comes with an emote.
Whales are predominately freemium and mobile based. Thanks though. The game is neither free, nor a mobile game. Unless you’ve never used Fantasia, or spent a single penny on the mog station the entire argument is invalid.
And yet the statue sold out. Huh, I guess it must have been scalpers.
I mean, in that case, anyone who's gone to a fanfest is a "whale".
Does OP throw a fit every fanfest because he cant afford to go?
I am very selective where I spend my money. It may look like i just spend it frivolously, but I actually save quite a bit with my job, even spending lots on "luxuries". Sure, you could say I'm fortunate, but I also worked hard to get there. I don't bemoan people owning houses IRL, even tho I'm currently incapable of owning one anywhere close to where I work. I have to rent out of a basement in someone elses house. There were several covid scares, because I have no control over the housemates.
Oh I've always hated on the price. One could buy a Nintendo Switch Lite for the price WITH shipping and tax. It's rediculous.
Medical expenses or not, do not take away from the fact that the omega emotes are a slippery slope.
You really have to ask yourselves who Square Enix wants as their fanbase. Do they want honest players who have been playing for six years? Or do they want toxicity.
Look at the forums. No one can peacefully disagree here with one another. Instead the first page of most topics are usually filled with people derailing a subject in sarcastic snootidom while their friends laugh and gang up on people who simply are voicing their opinions. Oh and you need think pages with the best suggestions are usually popular? MAYBE the race additions threads, but most of the time people hyper focus on negativity and get all riled up.
Can we ever be nice here? Can we have a community that isn't so toxic? Can we focus less on extremely steep priced exclusives, and just put the heart back into the players?
I really hope so. At first I LOVED the attention that Shadowbringers brought to the game, but lately I'm not so sure. It feels like with a new wave of people, we became the most popular non WOW mmo and lost our values.
