Whats the best Combat based activity to make gil?

Fastest method to make money with combat is bozja cluster farming.
You need a group but they are found by "lfg cluster farm" and if there is none then just rejoin bozja until you get into a other instance.
You should be rank 10+ but that's easy done with a few fates.

In a group you get like 200 cluster in a hour.
You can exchange 3 cluster for a action fragment and they sell 25k+ each.

Hmm, daily quests alone with adventurer in need role bonus gives you more than 100k per day, I think. Need to make sure you get the bonus tho.

That Coils idea is interesting, hmmmmmm. I am at level 8 in Bozja, man, I need to do it I think but I just dislike the place, urghhhh.

Yea the result was better than what i have expected, i could get a lot of new ideas what to do out of it myself.

If you're level 80 I recommend looking for Zonureskin Treasure Map parties in the Party Finder. It's recommended for a full party, but if you have enough people with good gear and understanding of their jobs, you can do them with 4 or even 3 players. If you get into the dungeons associated with those, everyone gets a decent amount of gil no matter the loot drops. And the loot that does drop in there is worth a lot of gil. Many parties follow a "your map, your loot" rule where the person who dug up the treasure rolls Need on everything while the rest roll Greed, but some are "free for all". People usually state in the description of the party which it will be. If you're lucky, there are minions that sell for multiple millions, or materials for crafted glamour clothes that are worth a lot on their own too. Plus it's just fun and thrilling!

Sorry a bit late to reply, but if you just straight up donate 40 Allagans coins you get from max level retainer ventures, you easily get 40k/week (1k per 500g coin, so double what you’d get vendoring them)

This is assuming you have max retainers and max Doma level.

If you want to get more passive/easy gil, remember that each of your characters can have 2 retainers at least. With minimal effort, you can max out fishing on a sub character and have fisher retainers hauling in lots of easy gil. The catch is you have to eventually get ventures...

I have my wife lv 80-solo Great Gubal Library while I get the drops. 1 run usually gives enough gear to convert to Grand Company currency then to ventures to last for a couple of days.

Can you elaborate? I honestly didn't know FSH was worth it so I always just left my fsh retainers do exploration.

Sure;

Basically any particular retainer is not necessarily better than the others, but the requirements for gear to do a max level 18 hour venture is very lax for DoL. like.. vendor gear or lower end crafted.

...so you max out FSH doing that cruise out of Limsa, then as long as you can provide ventures for your retainers, they bring back 3-5 silver Allagan coins and a random fish every day. Occasional minions instead of fish. (Silver coins worth 500g each)

The only thing is getting ventures, especially if it isn’t a main account.

Additionally, if you do FSH for both retainers, it only requires leveling 1 class in future expansions. There really is no reason to diversify retainers outside of a very few possible drops which are easily found in the market board.
