Soo guess they didn't get my message on longevity.
Why can we just fight garuda without doing a long quest line first? Come on square you are disappointing me.

satiate the masses. give them what they want until the real game is finished.
satiate the masses.
I think there's only so much they can do before the complete engine overhaul
So let me get this straight: basically what the guy described in the video is 7 years worth of grinding to get a character maxed out.
Sounds awesome.................................................

Hmm, I'd rather get to 50 first before I answer that question...!
I dunno. I've been playing the game at my own pace to keep myself from getting jaded by the current lame mechanics (mostly inventory management). So I reallllly don't see the problem with longevity.
My point with my earlier response is, currently, your argument is for naught, because currently, the game is just the appetizer before the main course.
It's the kiddy rides before the roller coaster.
It's the Yellow Chocobo before the Golden Chocobo.
It's the first/second/third date before the marriage. Honeymoon's a whole other story.
So really, asking for longevity right now is pointless.
Rokien if your gonna post about other MMOs you should really know more about what your writing. Dust is hardly an MMO. Its a compliment to Eve-Online as other have mentioned. The ground troops to compliment the Internet spaceships.
Now if they made a FF14 fleet command in which space chocobos piloted space ifrits into pvp battles to control asteroids surrounding the moon then you'd have a thread.
Coming in 2.8! All hail Krrrrak, Space Bo of the Chocopire!
