FF Youtubers are always wrong

Like I said, following trends. Predictions wrong or not, are videos - potentially multiple - for clicks and views. Opening up Collaborative content with other YouTubers, etc. As for accuracy, no idea. I don't watch any of them, not for this or for WoW. Though, I think Blizzard is a lot more open with the community, or rather interacts with them a lot more. I could be wrong. FFXIV attracts a different kind of player, or viewer, and these people are obviously catering to that.

No they're not, overwatch community is waiting for months for any news on overwatch 2 and then they start making a lot of predictions based on a lot of leaks that end up not being true and so ppl was expecting overwatch 2 beta to start now on blizzcon and it seems that it won't even start this year.

But why? He has never made a correct prediction ever that I have seen. You may as well have listened to any other player who plays the game which one of the obvious on the table jobs that are likely making it at some point, they think will get in this time.

Because they were two jobs that were hinted at in the MSQ. Geomancer took the spotlight in the AST 60-80 story. I don't watch anything ffxiv related on YT. They got these predictions from somewhere, the same place I did if we were all parotting the same thing!

He specifically predicted healer and Caster DPS. But who didn’t predict healer really? Same with Garlemald, which I don’t remember him predicting but it’s pretty much obvious at this point that we go there at some point.

If you throw enough guesses at obvious things such as FFV jobs, and known locations in lore, you’re going to get some right. But they take an hour to go over all the reasoning for why they’re clearly right. I remember someone going through every line of the poem that was sent out and linking it to the name forespoken and talking like he had some phd in final fantasy or something.

And when you do that, you lose credibility. Have to be really clear with people that these are just guesses and like for example that Meoni guy talks like he’s an expert. But he’s just a guy who has a channel, and his knowledge is no more than mine or yours.

I do like the creators who just stick to talking about what they like to do and review glamours and things but the ‘news’ side of the FFXIV community severely lacks in comparison to that of other MMOs in my opinion.

People speculated Geomancer and Chemist and Necromancer etc because bits of the story or elements we see can be taken as hints, it's not only because popular Youtubers made videos of their theories and we parrot them. And so what that they make money off their video views? That's what content creators do whether or not you agree their content was worth making or viewing or whatever your strange problem with them is.

There's plenty of players that have their theories and speculation and stick to them due to the evidence they've gathered one way or another, and who cares if they're proven wrong. You take a guess, educated or not, and either you're right or you're wrong and that's all there is to it. I don't watch their videos so I don't quite understand your particular beef with them unless you called them on in comments and they snapped back at you or something.

Predictions are like, a minor part of the FF14 youtuber content. God forbid they don't have 20/20 foresight.

I don’t have a problem or a beef with them.. perhaps I’ve worded it badly.

My whole point is they kinda portray themselves as ‘news’ channels but they seem to have no contacts and a very bad accuracy rate.

If for example I was a weather girl and I told everyone every week it was going to rain but it was always sunny, would I be able to continue being a weather girl or would be people not just find a better source?

People would find a more accurate source or continue watching for other reasons, that's just Youtube, it's not particularly hard to grasp. If they present themselves as anything more than a fan speculating or having fun with it then it falls to their viewers to have a grain of salt with their theory. Also it's just content for the sake of making content which is their job, I doubt any of them are presented as news sources and not just regurgitating the Lodestone or actual official sources.

You do realize that if they had been given information about new jobs or names, they'd have to have signed a NDA (also known as a NON DISCLOSURE AGREEMENT) which they couldn't advise or even talk about, right? You do realize this, yes? That's why they're just videos of predictions and thoughts (their own). Everyone has opinions, and they guessed. They never say "this is exactly what squeenix is doing". So take the videos with a grain of salt.

The news side has nothing to do with speculative topics like guessing new jobs. The news side...is about sharing news, not prediction, and none of the content creator you listed in the OP is strictly about the news.
