Please enhance instead of delete

The removal of TP

TP honestly served only one purpose, limiting AoE on the physical classes. Weaponskill combos generally ate TP equal to the regen, and thus were effectively free.
Really the same purpose it served would be done by adding a MP cost to AoE skills.


Cross-class skills
The Role actions are kind of a reworked version of that idea. It's not quite the same and certain combinations did go away but they didn't just remove the system... Also, certain cross-class skills were more required than others, so you only had so much to work with when it came to customization...


Greased Lightning
The biggest problem with Greased Lightning was that it was an unavoidable loss of DPS as you had to build up the stacks at the start of a fight, and if you at any point during a fight had controls disabled by them fancy mid fight scenes or something you lose the GL and had to rebuild it lowering your DPS simply because you're playing MNK.
The best you can do to minimize this is Perfect Balance to throw out 4 Snap Punches...

If that's your way of saying you disagree with many of the QoL changes, then I'll just say those are not what makes this game an RPG to me and I'm glad for the ongoing QoL improvements.

I'm not sure how you would even know that, and as for outstanding complaints, I'm sure there are reasons for it, though not all complaints can realistically be resolved regardless.

Additional dungeons, deep dungeons, portions of map dungeons (5 doors instead of 7), entire map dungeons (thief maps), things are getting homogenized (SCH/AST/WHM), content isn’t getting expanded (too long to list), new content is coming out unfinished (GNB/DNC, Hrothgar/Viera)

What’s replacing all of it?

“Explorer mode” and “Sticker mode.”

To me that’s fluff, not “content.”

The thing is, your various complaints here seems to be mostly subjective. Races, at the very least, are no less fluff than "sticker mode," and I don't see how the new jobs could be considered unfinished content (or the new races for that matter). Even saying we're losing content is misleading as contents are added gradually, and side contents could change.

These are solid suggestions thanks for the input! I prefer them integrating removed properties into other abilities, i haven't been enjoying the constant dumbing down of jobs. some jobs lost their identities completely already.
I am familiar with the challenges of implementing these things but the amount of skill juggling they've done could of been compressed in a more efficient way at least for some changes felt like they were to trapped in their own heads to see the big picture. Hoping the next expansion focuses more on improving instead of taking away.

Re: Battle leves

Personally I'm fine they're no longer in use, but I do like the idea of increasing the xp given for pre-50 to level 2nd-3rd etc jobs quicker. Alternatively, doing leves at level cap to get tomestones would be nice. Basically just an alternative way to play. My wife hates doing dungeons but wants to level and basically does so exclusively via Trust/Squadrons now...would be nice to give her something she can do for a short big here or there as an alternative that is worth the time.

The problem with a lot of the other removals is there really just isn't enough variety in gameplay to merit a lot of extra bells and whistles like point allotment. Other MMOs have more variety in open world content which demands some variety in builds such as stealth or certain skill/ability combos to take on notorious monsters etc. It needs a lot of things on the backend before these kinds of options are even useful. Moreover, since every character has access to every job, there really isn't a need for builds. If you wanna be tanky, play a tank..essentially. No need to spec a WHM to tank.

I mean, he does have a point. I'd like to see more RPG in this MMO, too. Stats are boring, gear is boring (bar the appearance) and jobs become more and more boring because of the DPS or bust mindset.

But we also got Ocean Fishing and Bozja which I'll gladly take over a 2nd dungeon since they are way too formulaic at this point.

In the end I can see some slight improvements but I'm not holding my breath either.
