A More Convenient Combo System

Ya nice try, you edited your initial post I made that to.. but now that I see that.. I macro my abils I use.. such as featherfoot,blood for blood, etc.. you get the drift.. so chances of missing the combo when you have had like 10 seconds to reposition is slim..

To many variables is in the way. Stun, Sleep, monster movements etc. You wasted your macro.

edit. Try to stick with combos, not buffs.

Sorry no.. I don't think you have tried these macros I speak of then yet.. before you speculate on how I possibly could get messed up with macros, the same could be said for no macros, so your point isn't valid..

and these variables you speak of, could you explain real in game circumstances these happen in??

Cause once again your basing your assumptions on speculation...

Dzemael Darkhold...Knock backs, shock spikes.. Not much content out there but you get the idea. regardless your points are weak and proven weak.

I'm sorry but the points you have given are the ones indeed weak, you gave me 2 possible examples of when this could happen.. you have done nothing to support your idea at all.. but now you're just trying to say using ctrl and alt is weak? I don't get you? I guess you never played 11?

I have debated your idea and it's in no way a system that would replace the current..

I'll advise you to stay on topic, but that might be to much for you to comprehend. As for my points to support my idea, you can find that in the OP, and as for my counter points all of which is irrefutable facts which you can find in game (stun, silence, sleep etc.) I believe my debate with you is over at this point if you have to go as far as FFXI.. I'll just say I played FFXI 2004-2011.

I advise you to stay on topic cause you are the one steering off and making assumptions about my intelligence.. so please refrain from doing so.. clearly I comprehend your idea... cause I gave valid points to as why your idea is no way needed.. you are the one bringing small variables into the equation now.. cause the same variables could be present in your proposed system as well... so you are bringing up useless points.. so take your own advice and stay on topic..

I mentioned 11 cause it used macros... so majority of the 11 players have adapted that into there playstyle which coincides great with the action bar.. I'm proposing options.. and you're just proposing an idea that could be deemed annoying as hell and not really useful as all.. (since your basing your ideas off speculation of the future)

maybe you should have planned your thoughts more creatively on paper before bringing it here.. cause your idea is not strong in any way..

Anyways my main point which is also in the OP is activating combos faster, being more controllable, and has less burden than pressing multiple buttons. Macros is fine yes, but it have many variables that you can't control once activated. Regardless if something were to happen that will cut your macro short or what not you cant get around that in any system.

Battle Regimens yes, and supposedly from what I've read they will be back. Just hope they're in a better state than before.

/wait 10 should be more than enough time, hell, /wait 2 should be more than enough, if I'm hitting buttons for a combo I'm moving as soon as the animation ends to get the next hit, if it takes me 10 seconds to line up for the second hit I should not be a melee job. Not to mention that if I'm not ready to run the full combo I probably won't bother starting it, if your looking at buffing for the final hit, well put them in the macro.

Yep all those things happen, that's when you cancel your macro, if you know you can't get into position stop the macro and start again, none of the opening skills have long recasts if your not going to be able to get into position by a /wait 10, you weren't going to finish the combo anyway more likely than not.
