It would mess up the ratings in a number of countries.

I personally wouldn't like this kind of emote at all, and I wouldn't enjoy seeing it around me either.

Doesn't make for a thrilling gpose to be honest. I have to commission an artist to pose with a cig.

If the emote is just your character holding a pipe/cig sure , if the emote is your character taking a puff and exhaling smoke no I don't wanna see it be implemented.

I think this thread is over reacting and reaching pretty far. I don't smoke. Never will. But I'm not going to tell someone else that they can't. It's a literal video game. Some people want girls clothes on men. Some people want to smoke. Let people do what they want in their world. As long as it is not illegal.

You people really want to push what a T rating can allow lol. Even though the game depicts tobaccos and drinking, that's exclusively done by npcs. And even then, it's shown VERY sparely. They won't allow that with player characters

I personally feel that people who smoke are idiots and get what they deserve when they die of smoking related illnesses. However, I fully support anyone's right to do so and would have no problem with them adding it to the game. LotRO has smoking(you can even farm your own pipe weed and cross breed it and it has various effects in game) so it's not like it hasn't happened in an MMO before.

WoW allows players to get drunk to the point of vomiting. It's rated teen. I'm not saying that SE should imitate that, just that It doesn't seem to be something that would push it into a different rating. Smoking I don't know. I don't know of a game where the player can smoke at will.

While rated M, Red Dead Redemption 1 and 2 had cigarettes and cigars as resources to refill your deadeye meter. You could pretty much smoke them if you had them.
