Empty maps in 2.0(and new maps in general)

I thought they already said the aetheryte's will still exist.. just the areas around them will have changed drastically

I hope that if they keep the old camps, we loose atunement to them. The world should be explored fresh.

I'm 98% sure that, Since this is considered "A Fresh start for FFXIV" and all Maps are being redone.. I say you have to Explore these " New" Maps. the only thing that will be similar is the name of the places (if that), other than that, everything is going to be a fresh start =).

Yea.. I remember Yoshi saying the names would be the same... but I wouldn't mind having to get nodes again

Bleh I dislike filling in maps such a chore for me.

Can't Please everyone, I love Exploring without knowing where I am, it puts the "Adventure" Feeling to the MMO.

So you are saying you cant adventure with a map? Whats stopping you from doing the same thing with one?

Not really... Not having a Map.. or in this case "Grayed out areas till you visit the Areas" Gives more of a Sense of Exploration, rather than oh here's a map with everything in them.. I like Surprises =).

This is epic, for me, it does add a sense of exploration and "oo whats over there", not "i can see it, its a dead end/and/or another copy/pasted section"
