Watch JP Fanfest 2019 stream and go to the part he reveals the First to be the expansion's location. There is another stream that had Koji do some on the spot translations for English viewers.
EDIT: Unfortunately I can't find an SE-specific stream and had to find other people's reaction to the stream. Here's one example:

At around 21:10 Yoshi-P starts his talk about the history of the Sundering, and Koji translates the time period stated as 12000 years.
Heh, I didn't think about a possible mini rift that he had them float in stasis. The 13th just seems to have such an odd time flux compared to say the 1st. Where we now know that meeting Ardbert and friends might have happened recently in Source time, but had happened over 100yrs 1st shard time. It's like I said it kind of feels like they want to use the 13th because it's there while not wanting to use it too much because then they might have to apply more dates to things. Or do a few retcons.
Why would Cyella and Unakhalia ( i suck at spelling his name) need to be put into stasis though? They both had the echo and the boy stated he was dying and as well as his friends (which one of them included Cyella she mentioned seeing him in an echo vision when we were near her during the final role quest.) There really wasn't a need for stasis especially since Elidibus was atleast training the boy as well.
They don't have to worry about aging so they either stay away from the sea of Aether to keep from being reincarnated and wander any planet they could chose.
Ardbert and co when they traveled to the first where not in their own physical bodies either when they went to the source they had to kill themselves just to travel.
It doesn't seem so far fetched that via the source time frame, and even Emet Selch outright stating that the 13th was the first one they tried to do and failed, due to Igeyorm, that they could just hang around and or muck about the other worlds trying to keep the worlds from said flooding with the other elements fhey used then whisk them away before a rejoining happens.
I wonder if Unukhali's other friends also escaped the Void?
If they took Elidibus up on his offer like Cyella did... then most likely so.
It's not been explained just why Elidibus held Unukalhai (and Cylva, probably) in stasis until he needed them, but the most likely answer is that being a chessmaster he'd not be fond of having unnecessary pawns on the board. More actors than necessary increases the probability of errors; by keeping the number of players low he'd be better able to direct the flow of things and have less of a headache to deal with if things go awry.
Of course things do still go awry (the Flood of Light was not part of the game plan, and only got worked in thanks to quick thinking on Emet-Selch's part), but having fewer players on the stage makes things easier to direct.
To be fair, 5.3 revealed that Elidibus only thinks he's a chessmaster, and was instead just very confused the entire time, so it's possible that Elidibus holding Unukalhai (and possibly Cylva) in stasis is less part of some grand plan, and more "it seemed like a good idea at the time".
