Same issue here in Holland. The Launcher does not want to load the information at times even.
I have been trying to log in all day with no success.

Same problem in Turkey, tried everything even a vpn. everything on the official forums, old official and unofficial posts been at this for over 3 hours now , if any1 can find a solution please let us know
Same for me. I live in Belgium BTW.
This also affects sites like The Lodestone or Mog Station.
The only way I can play and visit said websites is to use a VPN and select a country outside of Europe (USA and Canada work fine).
Only when using my phone can i reliably connect. was able to connect once using regular internet. Also lodestone and forums are slow as hell and often time out

i've been able to get on using the trick i discribed before and am reliably playing for 6 hours now
Do WinMtr to https://secure.square-enix.com/ look for a node that has 80%+ packet lost. If it has letters TATA contact your isp. Thats what cogentco tech support says. And dont ask what TATA means...
