DEVs Stop adding worthless pointless gear to dungeon chests.

Green gear is better than dark matter. I've made >50mil off of "useless" gear so far. Dumb thread is dumb.

Pity Square is the only one smart enough to think ahead about XIV's future. The "pointless gear" you speak of isn't so pointless to newer players, for example.

To new players or players having lot of 50's and not making any effort to get gear for them. If you rarely play certains classes, you may still be able to use one of these green drop :D Always better than having nothing or something really low level.

Gear in this game has been screwed from day one, IMO greens should trump white crafted but thats never going to happen because SE/Yoshi-p are too scared to upset the crafters in this game.

Materia was a huge huge mistake and will forever marginalise unique gear.

It's level 50 trash, by which time you could be using AF (which oddly enough is kind of trash also)... d'oh

I think some of this gear is meant for those who value fashion or looking unique over having over the top stats. It works like this:

Look like everyone else: Crafted Gear with materia to have amazing stats.
Look unique from everyone else: Dungeon-dropped equipment that's commonly mediocre to crafted. Some exceptions.
Look semi-unique, but mostly like everyone else for free: JSE artifact armor that's commonly not much better than dungeon loot, but looks sweet. Since it's pretty much free anyone who wants to wear only this type of gear can get it. Again, some exceptions to the rules but are commonly outclassed by craftable gear fitted with materia.

Do we all need to read a new QQ thread every dungeon clear, is that why the same lame threads get posted every damn time? Anyone wanna take some of those useless threads and punch someone in the face w/ them after reading the same thread 40+ times and only seeing trash complaints?
