Because leves are limited, and they wanted something new for craft/gatherers this expansion. And wanted to do something with diadem, because it was basically just good for a couple rare nodes (and I miss it dearly for that, because they're used in submarine upgrading).Quote:

There are significantly more ways to level battle classes. Battlecraft leves would have to be worse than all or most of them, as they would exist solely for convenience. If they're added back in and most people still use leves to get amber vilekin, or to make quick money off some of the crafter ones that give back more mats than they cost, then they're no better off than leaving them gone.
