They don't have a choice because of how the character models and gear interact. If the outfit has tights that can be seen on the foot, that HAS to be part of the foot gear model. Leg gear ends at the ankles and can't affect the feet.

It would be nice if they reused they model to make a plain version though.

Likewise, I'd love a version of the waistcoat (for my alt) that could be dyed completely, instead of having to make it jet black if I don't want the two-colour effect.

...I do not see my Viera in either the thights, shoes, dress, and certainly not the hat (I actually DO like the hat, but, y'know, Viera). I'd wear any of the male pieces, so guess it's insta-going to the armoire until/unless they go unlocked...

I think viera in particular would look amazing in the vest. Especially with that pocket watch, it's got such a Wonderland white rabbit feel to it that'd be awesome on an actual bun.

Male outfit looks much better in my opinion. The tights look cute though. Would be nice if we could dye both the coloured and black parts.

The one with the red outfit has my vote. Really like how cute the red outfit is.

Love them but, as others have said, it would have been much better if they weren't gender locked. That suit would make a great MCH glam.

nope, that 2b outfit only happenned because the nier guy thought it looked weird and funny on males.

Welp... once upon a decade, for a change, male characters actually got a very good set, finally.
The body is absolutely sunning and I will certainly use it, pants are finally long enough to not show naked ankles as other classic pants in the game do, and shoes with gloves are very nice too. Not a big fan of the hat, but it's not bad as well.
The only issue is... why genderlock again. I mean sets are cute, I like them, but just why.

That's not only about 2B set, though. Yoshida said in the interview a little bit after ShB release that they plan to unlock Eternal Bonding suit and dress, for example, probably along with some other items.

I am also rejoicing because of this. I also love that the patterns are different for each leg.

I really like that SE told us the dye used for the colours of the three candidates. A very nice touch.

I'm voting for Bert, since the other two are Elezen (those creepy giraffe-necks).
