Solid glim is better than the current confusing blinks.
I can live with it, but I prefered the solid glowing too for combos.
The problem with blinking is that for people who only quickly glance at their action bar to see if combos/etc landed can do so between blinks and miss the indicator. I do this myself. I can live with with, just means that I have to look at my action bar a fraction longer, but I would have prefered solid glow myself, though. Extending the indicators for reactionary abilities was a great addition in any case.
I do think the blinking on combos actually made it less obvious when your combos were landing and continuing. However, I am not annoyed by blinking on the UI and find that a bit silly... I mean our HP bars have wavey cycling animations, this is FF, things are going to glow, blink, etc.
I don't mind the blinking on the reactionary skills but I think I had the reaction that it wasn't quite obvious enough, at least on a Paladin and Warrior since the color is a cooler blue and not extremely noticeable.
Just my 2 cents; I really appreciate reactionary skills lighting up now as that was a much needed addition to the game.
It suddenly dawned on me what people are talking about with the missing combos. /derp
I haven't had this problem (hence my slow to realize it) because when I do a combo, I look at the next skill in line for the combo. If it lights up, it means I connected and I can continue the combo. If it's not lit up, I take it that I missed and I move on.
I'd like it to flash faster, honestly. Would make it stand out more and wouldn't be missable if you blink =P
is there a way to adjust it so the flash flashes to the beat of the music.
