I wish they would give viera some hairs. :(
Why should we expect from devs to do only easy jobs? Are they special beings not obligated to deliver a quality product?
They could and they should, mmorpg like this is their chance and its super rare to have a well established game like that, put the standards higher on them, its not like they are doing their job for free in their free time.
Yeah, I'd prefer if they just stuck to "we don't have the resources or time right now" instead of saying "b-b-but it's so hard!" at times. The first one I'd accept and have done so when they've said it. Claiming they can't do something because it's too hard comes across as a bit amateurish to me.
I don't care much for this, but others do.
However, I donno anymore. I've seen hobbiest put together sliders and such for other games. Just.. whatever he says I guess.
Nice try but trying to make shift a make believe goal post isn't helping any.
It's really not like they even bothered to contribute more thoughtful discussion anyways. Their choice, but I don't think it needs to be white knighted, and the person can come in and explain themselves more clearly and participate. If not, then that is their problem they caused the "misunderstanding"
That’s because those unique NPCs are modeled to look like that. They don’t have features that are turned on and off.
PCs and NPCs created using the character creator are all spawned into the world (supposedly) as a list of attributes. Face=4, faceFeature1=N, faceFeature2=Y, etc. There is a balance between how many characters they can show on a screen at once and how many more options we have. That’s why hyur and roe get muscle tone sliders but no one else does, they have no ear or tail sliders. Asking why men don’t have a slider to make up for women having breast sliders is dangerous territory.
It is for these reasons why at the time our only way of further editing characters is through equipment, since that body change is tied to the equipment and not your character. I wish they just through out everything from 1.0 when they rebooted, but that would have taken longer before ARR would have been released and they made a business decision and now we’re here. I don’t understand people’s obsession with butts or why they’re worried about them when I can’t tell unless I look real close but whatever floats their boats I guess.
Nah. It's really tough to be a white knight when you're a black sheep. And you're ignoring the principle behind her post and mine; that it is really weird that the butt demand has escalated to the point that it was addressed in a live letter. I didn't watch it, but hopefully not that much time was spent on a topic I find to be utterly ridiculous.
So currently now they have an easy job? You're free to apply if you think it is easy. This product needs help and adjustments, but to say it isn't quality is relative to taste. Your argument lies on the semantics as a consumer, which is you care about the results but you're making leaps in logic on the process.
That said, I really feel more like at this point of time a game that came out what 10 years ago should eventually end, not that I want to see it die in a fire per say, but 10 years is a pretty good run. Now its showing its age. It may be cool if they do a new game in the process came up with a way to import characters but given the long length of story content and quests, I think trying to redo the game is a lot of work and while I think possible, there's also time
As they say in business.
Quality
Speed
Cheap
Pick two of the above
So it's a butt? What's the difference between that and other graphical glitches they have had to address? It just happened to be such a recent development that it makes sense to address it in a letter that was coming up anyways. Basically you're now putting yourself in the opposite end of the extreme - the ones crying it was a conspiracy, and now the opposite end trying to say "it's not a big deal" but continue to make comments about it. Both spectrums are kinda silly tbh
I was actually thoroughly entertained by how much time they talked about adjustments to characters butts, and the effects that show when characters sit down. It was really funny to me personally. And they did talk about it for quite a while. Around 5-10 minutes if I remember correctly (although I wasn't paying too much attention to time so don't quote me on that)
