Ishgard Restoration makes leveling DoH classes a joke.

Min collectability is like HQing an item, it's not just automatic, and buying mats off the market to make the item is not the same as buying the item. If so yiou might as well say that the whole scrips/collectibles system is as easy as buying something and turning it in cause you can buy the mats.

It's actually been nice. I've never been a fan of crafting in pretty much any MMO I've played, so I avoided it like a plague until uh... Friday. Now everything is hovering around L30 and it only took a couple of days... most of which was time spent gathering materials.

I mean, I haven't been using any macros. Probably not the most efficient path but at least one person out here is actually reading to learn what the skills do. :P

Honestly it is pretty boring, but not as bad as I expected it to be, and actually kind of interesting. I mean, I'm only level 34 on my highest crafter now, but still.

The thing I'm appreciating the most while leveling in Ishgard is not needing to juggle dozens of different mats (and even gearsets) in my already disorganized inventory. 10/10 would oven again

I confess I tested and crafted by hand for 2 jobs before I hit upon a decently balanced macro to use for all my other jobs it was not hard and I didn't even need the internet just regular play and figuring out what would accomplish the work 98% of the time without worrying about situationals. Now I can hit 1.2k quality on most crafts with level 70 and gather for 150 turnins at a time which accomplishes 70-80 no problem. SE has repeatedly stated this stage is just to get your feet wet, it's easy, super easy and by design, the next stage will be harder and require more, I look forward to that, but at the same time to the tryharder complaining it's too easy I'd rather it start nice and easy than scare the crap out of most players so they never touch it again. If the content is a pain even my stubborn butt will walk away.

It's basically the same as collectible turn ins except the materials are a joke to get removing the one thing gating it

The great thing is you are not using up your leves. At first i did not think the xp was great for 70+ but yesterday i went from 71 to 78 in a very short period of time.
The gathering takes far longer then it does for you to level up the crafting, lol

Oh and i also did not use macros, all manually crafted.

I do find it a touch silly that the restoration has largely invalidated all other forms of DoH leveling and is likely to do the same for DoL once the option opens up in 5.2.

I honestly liked the progressiveness of having to change what I crafted several times throughout the leveling process previously. Now you can basically just spam whatever one collectable is appropriate for your level range.

It sucks hard. And not in the good way.

Its pretty great. When people get their crafting classes leveled up, they wont have to depend on people who charge high prices on MB for things they want. They could make it themselves provided they have the materials. Unless they dont feel like taking the time to gather materials and craft the item themselves. Then maybe they would purchase off the MB.
