I looked through people's posted error reports to see if there was any similarities and it seems out of them the majority have been using Steam, and one was using Windows. So willing to bet it's due to the new launcher and some process it does, I'd say for now since we have the option try switching to the older launcher and see if it does anything different.

This really needs to be looked into for both sides so if anyone has these issues, please post your error reports so we can get this noticed/make a new thread just for your specific error report.

Mh, I have Retail version without Steam so it may not be that, unless I'm in a specific case, same error message though !

I'm getting the same error too. So far I've been booted 5 times between yesterday and today, and only on my work computer - at home it hasn't happened even once. I believe I've just been standing around at the Maelstrom HQ in Limsa each time it's happened.

I'm getting the DX11 crash too, except for me it's as soon as the game launches, before the opening movie and title screen even have a chance to load up. Tried steam/no steam, old launcher/new launcher, nothing.

I'm also on non-Steam version and get the same error message. It's happening to me in Eulmore and Kholusia in addition to Lakeland now, to the point where I can't really progress the main story quests.

Based on the wide range of locations where this is happening for people, I'm wondering if it's not about the locations, but maybe about some error trying to render one of the new pieces of equipment or some other new item.

I believe it's multiple different errors tied into situations.

I'm seeing some people just hanging around and not doing anything, while others are getting mixed into specific things like duties.

From the three errors I had yesterday all of mine happened in mid combat. I don't have the screenshot on my person but the error
s I received were different then the ones being posted however they shared the date of 10-23-19 and some specific time. I've had this happen in the new dungeon and the Nier raid at different points (1st and 3rd boss fights for me).

I've had this problem since the patch and after trying a lot of stuff yesterday I did a clean reinstall of the game. At first it was just instances that gave the error and the field maps and towns were fine. I went to Il Mheg yesterday and ran around a bit but now today after the reinstall I teleported to Il Mheg and it gives the exact same DX11 error as the first image in the original post as soon as I load in and thus I can't play my character even though I changed nothing. I've also had the ffxiv.exe errors today but those seem to have been replaced by the dx11 errors now.

Reinstalling does nothing, using DX9 does nothing, turning down my graphics settings to minimum does nothing, turning off Steam overlay does nothing, using the old launcher does nothing, my graphics driver is fully updated, and as far as I know my DirectX is fully updated. I'm out of ideas and clearly something has gone wrong with the data in this patch since I'm not alone. The game needs a fix.

After hotfix still having the same issue making 5.1 content unplayable. Retried entering new MSQ dungeon and get immediate Dx11 crash. The "Light Party" words show up but the screen stays black with a Dx11 popup before crashing to desktop.

I've been kicked again 3 times already today. Twice in the new dungeon with trusts, at the very end I looted the caster pants and tried them on. Kicked. Got back in and immediately left the dungeon, kicked again before I could load back into the world. Was fine until I just went to Il Mheg to wait for the dailies to come up. Was just standing there looking at something on my other monitor, kicked again. Very frustrating.

Still having them after hot fixes but now even worse. Now get them in ARR cities when teleport. Notice happens to me the most if I am in queue at them time. Like today my 30 minute queue about to pop and get dx11 error when teleport to city to buy fc actions. Now when accept my duty and go into it get dx11 errors and before as soon login my character inside a duty instant crash. How am I suppose to cap on my tomes if can't even do a duty with out game crashing from these dx11 errors. You need make this your top priority so player can get back to playing the game again.
