Did you switch jobs in shadowbringers?, from what to what and why?

I'd recommend NOT boosting RDM, they already start at level 50, and you can learn how their kit works while farming some PotD and HoH. RDM was my first to 70 in Stormblood, I really enjoyed the gameplay, but I grew tired of it after awhile. I liked the fact that it was easy to play, but that also became a detriment after awhile, because it kinda got boring. I think it'll be awhile before I take it from 70 to 80.

Thanks for your response! I'm bummed to hear that you got bored of RDM, I'm hoping to find a job that doesn't bore me easily. I've heard a lot of positive talk about BLM and gave that a try, but the hardcasting is hard to adjust to. I'm hoping that RDM can give me a caster feeling without being too static.

MCH then, MCH now, MCH forever..though it’s popularity is making maining it abit sour. GNB and AST are my Tank and Healer mains rn as WHM is a little boring. So short answer not really

SCH main, unhappy with changes so leveled DNC first. Not totally thrilled with DNC so leveled MCH. Loving MCH but I think I'm going to level SCH next despite the changes as its still my favorite healer. :)

Played as a Scholar-Main through 70 in Stormblood, but mostly just playing with friends in dungeons more than raiding.

Enjoyed playing one of the weaker light party healers because the offensive output helped make it more enjoyable. Group healing was never a complaint, as Indom was very strong. Was not very fun queuing up for Full party as SCH because Galv didn't stack, unlike regens.

At the end of the first day of pre-release Shadowbringers, I looked at the screen and just couldn't do it, anymore. Gained some other healing abilities with better pet control, but lost all offensive output for light party (not just numbers, but omg so boring), and in full party Galv still didn't stack, so what's the point? Might as well play something else.

Landed on MCH and WHM.

Machinist if I'm at home on stable internet, but not if I'm traveling and don't have a fast enough speed to get 2 OGCD's at a time, or 5 Heat Blasts in each Hypercharge cycle (yeah, internet speed affects it that much).
If I'm on slow internet, I'll just play White Mage now, because it's as strong a healer as ever, and just as boring as Scholar offensively, so why not? Why would I play Scholar at this point? Can't even bring myself to level it past 71. I'd rather stare off into the distance from the top floor of Eulmore waiting for a Expert Roulette on a DPS class.

As someone who never had interest in tanking or crafting, I've started to do both over Scholar. GNB is 80 with 439 gear (as are MCH and WHM) and DRG will be 439 by tomorrow, most likely. 1 Raid reward from each per week is rough, probably spend it on WHM since I know I can play it all the time.

Initial Ratings in Shadowbringers for enjoyability:
Machnist 9/10
White Mage 7/10
Dragoon 7/10
Gunbreaker 7/10
Scholar 1/10 (makes me sad)

In Stormblood, the ratings would have been 5, 5, 6, x, 10, respectively.

This so much, easy gameplay is fun at first but gets boring fast, same thing will happen to the GNB this time around.

I switched from summoner to machinist because they somehow managed to INCREASE how janky summoner plays while simultaneously making the rotation obtuse and intuitive. I can just play machinist and have superior damage for half of the effort.

I switched from SAM to DNC.

DNC has chakrams for the main thing. It also doesn't have positionals, a DoT, and can be at range most of the time.

Not yet as I'm still a little behind on finishing MSQ because of work, but I've been maining SMN since release and as soon as I hit 80 I'm putting it away for something different until changes are made. As for what... I'm not sure. Maybe Bard or MCH. I've never liked melee classes so I stay away from tanks and melee dps but I've played and always try to max all casters and ranged classes. Problem is I don't find RDM engaging and while BLM is good it just doesn't interest me as much. I loved SMN as the tactical/planning class it felt like to me and now that its a hectic mess it just doesn't do it for me and I'm not sure what I'll switch too.

As for my main healer, I'll be sticking with AST. It's a bit underwhelming rn but I don't mind the changes on it and I still enjoy the way it plays. (Nocturnal Sect for life!)

former nin/brd to dnc, love supporting jobs but due to moving servers with raid grp nin feels unplayable and dnc having so much support is heaven to me :p

Hlr wise still ast main love the job too much but it very much is in its 2nd worst state its ever been in barely beating 3.0 launch ast.
