I'm not denying that any hacks exist, I don't know where you're getting that from. However, Yoshi is completely right when he says that he cant put the client in charge of more things for the reason of preventing cheating. Every piece of information you trust the client with makes it easier to cheat. Any existing hack is based upon information that the server sends to the client and/or that the client sends to the server. You can't (easily) hack something that is kept and managed on the server.

The last comment I remember him making talked about how he aspired the movement in 2.0 to be as responsive as World of Warcraft's movement. Frankly, that's what I'm hoping for as well.
