Funny story: I made a topic a while ago asking people if they found spam-casting self-buffs and spells annoying. Very few people did.
Then you ask the same about jumping, and all of a sudden it's a crime against humanity.
I'm pretty sure people only hate on jumping because "it's a WOW thing".
People love to toss out FFXIII and Advent Children as good examples of jumping in Final Fantasy.
Jumping in both entries looked pretty retarded, and that's coming from someone who loves them both immensely
....another topic about jumping? Is there some kind of jumping flu going around that I've missed?
it's jumping in a game...not exactly life changing in my opinion.
I've played WoW off and on for about 4-5 years. It's not a constant thing there, but it's frequent enough. For those of who've played, think of it this way. How many times have you seen this: you're waiting outside an instance (pre-LFG tool, obviously), and you have a handful of people jumping around randomly. Then one of them drops a duel flag, they begin dueling....and they're still jumping around like rabbits on acid as they duel. Maybe your experience is different, but I saw this all the time when I was playing.
It didn't bother me in WoW because I was so used to it there, but I'd rather not have to get used to it here unless I have to.
I would've rather seen a consolidated list of possible jumping implementations because we came up with like fifty.
