I just want a First NPC with my same name. As for NPCs... I wanna see some XI characters. Let's go SE. And I want a Cameo fight against Maat.

I think Moenbryda had more potential as a character than she was actually used for. The impact of her death was definitely more about how much it clearly affected the other characters than feeling personally sad about it. (Though personally I'm okay with that sort of storytelling as long as it's done well.)
It would have been good to introduce her earlier, so she was at least around in the background for longer and seemed to be more of a settled-in member of the Scions than a guest appearance.
An element that I really liked was her friendship with Urianger and a first chance to see him being treated more as a person and not a walking library (or the polite 'work colleague' relationship he seems to have with the other Scions). That was a little too brief and it would have been good to have a few more chances for them to interact and have him show a bit more personality.
The mind set of having a doppelganger being the same person or replacement for a person is rather wrong in my opinion.
Just because a doppelganger exists does not mean that it is ok and everything is fine. A doppelganger should be treated as a different person and not a replacement nor a reason to say everything is fine just because X or Y character died. In fact, if we encounter doppelgangers in the First, they should always be treated as different people. It will be shocking to see someone who is dead alive in the First or is Evil in the Source but good in the First but that is the issue of the mind not being able to accept the doppelganger's existance due to memories of the Source version of that Character.
Denying the existance of a doppelganger just because a person cannot accept the doppelganger as a different person is rather low limiting issue since it is more of a issue of the mind rather than story reasons. In fact some stories always go into that plot about people having issues accepting the doppelganger as a different person just because of the memories their appearance and voice brings back but at some point the people and the audience of that story have to accept the doppelganger is not there to replace someone nor say everything is ok just because someone died and they may replace them but to accept them as a different person separate from the person we know or knew while also not letting the memories of that person deny the doppelganger existance as a individual.

Another General Discussion thread sent to the Lore forum to die because we've already had a parallel discussion here...
I feel like the forum needs to be renamed to "Story and Lore" so people know to come here in the first place, if any degree of story discussion in the GD forum is going to get banished here.
I think people look at the forum title, assume we're boring and just discuss minor worldbuilding details all day. (Not that we don't do that sometimes, but still...)
I would love if we got alt versions of every NPC spread over the first as minor NPCs/side quest NPC/just no name NPCs wandering around. It would make me want to do all the side quests if it means discovering these alt-versions! :D
I imagine there will be "Easter Eggs" like the Launch trailer showed us a copy of that sexy daddy whose name I cannot quite recall. I wouldn't be suprised if there was a Rowena-like character / institution. Just like the Ronkan seem to be the Allagan of the First. These are almost needed in terms of gameplay too (unless Rowena hear about us wandering on the First and seizes the opportunity to make even more cash on our back by sending us do collectables there)
As long as it makes sense in the lore of the First, I'm fine with it.
