Job names in the first

The region Norvrandt that we are visiting is the last remaining part that hasn't yet been obliterated by light but it's on the verge of being swallowed too, lest we bring darkness back. It'd be like if everything outside of Eorzea had been destroyed at the source. Whatever their version of the far east used to be, it's just blank nothingness now and everyone dead.

I believe it was the 14th shard that was lost to darkness...and the first shard is close to being consumed by the light. They are not quite there yet hence the warrior of darkness and co travelling to the source

It's the 13th Shard that fell to the Darkness and became the Void - the '14th' world is 'our Hydaelyn', the Source that the Shards are reflections of.

My guess before Japan Fanfest was that Dancer would be the second job with Radz-at-han being the city. (Which would have maybe felt a bit odd but then so did having Kugane as the main city of SB, a neutral nation that was basically a pit stop in the msq while traveling between the two regions it actually focused on.)

Boy was I wrong on that.

What if the First doesn't have jobs, just classes like 1.0?

I had the same theory! I was expecting the MSQ would take place in Ilsabard, with Radz-at-Han serving as our neutral hub/base of operations, and then at the end Garlemald would become our new Rhalgr's Reach. The fact that we got a magitek and (then only known from leaks) dancer job made me 100% convinced those would be the perfect places for those jobs' "guildhalls".

I can't believe I was SO far off. I was more willing to believe there was an Imperial province full of fairies than that we'd ever visit the First. The MSQ prior to 4.6 was such a massive misdirection.

Oh well, here's hoping for Ilsabard exploration in 6.0. I NEED to know what's underneath those clouds n_n

I just want a soldier class that uses big swords for DPS :(
