Some thoughts about the items on sell on the mog station

In my opinion, the greatest sin in the mogstation are the retainers. Not because they exist but because they're a cost for failing to provide adequate space for the game. Getting a retainer at a cost should've existed after proper inventory organizational tools, such as mat bag, tackle box, token bag and glam book are implemented. This sin intensified in my eyes after companion app premium manifested, despite SE's claim that they could add no further inventory space to the game.

Anything else in the shop is pure luxury and that's fine to me but retainers are a big no-no to my eyes. Unfortunately, when you have people in fanfests asking for extra retainers, SE will have no incentive to properly implement those organizational tools.

Oh no you dont. Not that "people are worse off" song and dance. $7 for an emote that's on 1 character is not a good thing and bringing up other games suddenly doesn't make it some amazing deal.

This is really my only problem with the mog station.

IMO outfits, mounts and minions should all be account wide. I can understand job boosts and consumables like fantasia/dyes etc not being account wide, but I think that glamour items, mounts and minions should be. Emotes too.

Also, gender neutral hairstyles like Aymeric's should be sold separately and not only bundled with male only armor and vice versa. Just like how you don't have to buy the scythe pack if you just want one of the scythes.

It's $30 for account-wide passenger mounts.
It's $25 for account-wide non-passenger mounts.
It's $12(?) for single character mounts.

The fat cat mount, the most recent addition, is the same price as Sleipnir, one of the oldest cash shop mounts.

I'm not going to grab my phone to double check and make sure there are no exceptions.

It's a game, you can apply that logic to everything about it.

I see no problem with the cash shop. My main gripe is the thought that most of the revenue is being diverted to trash like FFXV DLC instead of being re-invested into this game. I would gladly pay more money to support and enhance FF14.

Paying for retainers kinda sucks. I only use them for the extra inventory, and even then, I'm still always running out of space. I'd rather pay for additional features, like unlimited glamour space or a more robust transmog storage system.

So you are advocating for the abandonment of a service instead of change, a more positive solution or even an answer from the decision makers... I don't think this was covered in business class.
