At least there's no cartoon sound effects like in Aion. It made bedspring/tweety bird noises whenever you stunned someone, drove me batty.

I don't see why you would want them taken out. All games do attack animations like the ones in FFxiv. -

With 2.0 it's all going to look like it properly belongs I would think.. Although -in my opinion- it looks absolutely fine as is. I have the imagery that 2.0 will be a bit more colorful.. hence the colorful weaponskill animations.

I'm not seeing the problem with them either, at least they look better than most of the character models and all of the emotes...
Want some real effects? I'd like to see some blood and gore personally. Breaking a goat's horns is nice, but what would be awesome is hacking it's head off with a killshot and watching blood squirt out of the neck. -
