Splitting them up into left ring and right ring, though, is a pretty player unfriendly move to make for those who do savage raiding as that would mean your savage rings would also need to be flagged as left and right, giving more variance to what rings you need to get and making gear progression even harder for not much actual benefit.

I still think giving the third option in the 24-man raid is the best solution to item level, and while that doesn't solve your character screen complaint, I would venture to say this annoyance is something that doesn't bother the majority of players.

I too am not a fan of the second ring slot, honestly I’d be all for removing it entirely but I’m sure there are people who go that deep into glamour that they do their rings too who would object.

There really needs to be more sources of rings. Right now the only way to get 380+ is omega normal (which is practically impossible since everyone and their grandmother is lotting bolts), crafting but screw that, tomes which are capped so not really viable, or savage, which is also capped and seems like quite the jump in skill for most just to get a second ring. Then if you’re going for max ilvl your options plummet to tomes or savage, no alternatives.

I wish they’d put 380-390 accessories in eureka, or had the primals/four lords drop a ring as well as a weapon like ramuh did. It would just be nice to have more options for a slot that has a duplicate slot.

Not really. You could leave Savage as a One Ring scenario that isn't left or right. If it has better stats than one of the tome rings then you only need to get one tome ring. Tho I guess if I want two of the same ring Savage raiders might want two of the Savage ring so maybe all rings should be Left and Right lol.

I have my right-hand ring glamoured as the House Fortemps signet ring on everything. :D

More generally though, the glamour dresser does make it a lot more practical to glamour jewellery consistently, so it's likely that some people do glamour specific rings.



It's unlikely that they would split rings into Left and Right, because they would actually needed to be coded separately (and duplicated if you want to wear the same ring on both hands). It would be the same kind of issue that prevents us from glamouring mages' wands over staffs - they're classified as different item types. If rings were split, you couldn't just have two identical rings any more, you'd need two unique items coded for the correct hand.

It would almost certainly cause more issues than it solves.

That makes sense... and sounds horrible for never getting to use 2 tome rings ><

Why don't you just learn O9S then? It's the easiest current fight by a wide margin.

I'd prefer if they combined the two rings into one item and either dropped that extra slot or put something else. Maybe an on use trinket or a cape or something.

Two rings just leads to equipment bloat.

Then you don't want 2 rings at ilvl 400. Simple as that.

If you're not doing any content that warrants getting better gear... why does it bother you SO much to have an unupgraded ring? Do you really think you need to be in top shape to do dungeons? or hunts? or 24-mans? All of that content is a joke and can be perfectly done with gear from the previous tier. And what about all the content they keep adding that has ilvl syncs or stats independant of gear like the deep dungeons, Eureka or pvp?

The only "issue" is in your mind. And if a ring bothers you that much I don't know why having other pieces of gear with high ilvl but the wrong stats doesn't bother you nearly as much.
