Japan already has 3 DCs - why would they need to split those up? If they want to attract more EU-players and offer more server-space for those of us who life in the EU (or would like to play on an EU-server), they need to add more servers and apparently that also requires them to create a new datacenter. I'm not sure how the situation of the japanese servers is related to this at all?

Ok that chart is actually really interesting. When did that get shown? I must of missed it when my stream bugged out for a few minuets.

Also it is sad that people are being made forced to chose but its a nesscary evil. With how big Europe is it is dumb to have on one dc and you can't really think its fair to just do a dc of new worlds

And how long does it work fine after new expansion?
Maybe some months and then PFs are dead especially if you wanna do something else than the newest stuff or if you dont do the newest stuff with a static or not at prime time in the evening.

Because everyone is looking at the situation now, there will be a flux of increased NEW PLAYERS with expansion. Not just returning players.

Maybe that could happen. But what will happen if it is not like that? Is SE really expecting that there will sooooo many new players in EU?

The response at the fan fest towards this is what anyone would have expected. Considering SE apologised as part of the announcement for the disruption it may cause, it is clear that they're well aware of the implications of what they're doing. They knew it may not be very well received.

You can't compare these two.

And the numbers are probably as correct as the numbers that SE always uses to show how many players we have.

Never said it was fact, it's an approximation. I would assume SE knows what they're doing if they are going through with the split.

If that graph is true, why we have less servers than any other datacenter, if we have more players than any other datacenter?
