Patch 1.21, I need you now

The irony, personally speaking, I don't think there should be such anxiety for patch 1.21. Yoshida recently said in one of his server merge posts that the patch is almost completed and won't be further delayed, so I think that before February 29th we should get it. ;)

Also, I think recently we got the basic announcements on The Lodestone. I believe it seems like we haven't because the 2 “Big Ones”, the Jobs stuff and the Instanced Raids + Video, haven't been published yet... but actually, those are probably the only 2 remaining. I think all the others have already been published.

That said, as a matter of fact, the only real announcement we haven't heard anything of is the mentioned “Player's Poll”, that was scheduled to be released in Mid-January.
Again, personally speaking I don't particularly care about the Poll itself, but I think it's very important to at least give some update on this matter for “reliability purposes” (reliability on the dev team, that is), as in the past month as far as I know we haven't heard anything at all. Some words on this wouldn't hurt. :)

Just to point out in an interview they did say every patch is worked by different teams or teams that already finished their part will move right into next patches works so it's technically not supposed to have any delays but as we all know so far almost every patch had some sort of delay.

Delay's fine with me as a programmer (non-game) I know delays happen along the way + it should be fixed before releasing rather than having more issue later on but say if I'm coding for my paying customer I would have to update them time to time even if it's delayed. Even if I just have to tell them "hey we're working on it, it's almost there" since telling them the details of the technical difficulty would just confuse some of them + some clients don't care any of that stuff, all they care about is the end result. If my client asks for what's being fixed/worked on I can give them the run down of those but anyways...

Pretty sure some people on this forum think same way, they don't care about what issue dev's are having just release the damn thing!! it's easy to say that but once they do release don't bitch and cry about the issue later since they were trying to fix those before release.

If the devs can keep us in the loop I'm cool with it. At least we do hear Yoshi say it so I'm happier than how it was with FFXI updates lol.

Some of you probably don't know this but for FFXI JP PC release they did have a forum called dev's corner or something within the PlayOnline system, JP players talked about different issue they had back then and sometimes we got small responses but at one point they had issue with this item called Treat Staff which was a Halloween event item which granted you warp effect when you hit a mob which allowed players to go back to their home point instantly. After the Halloween event devs decided to change the stats so you can't warp back like it used too since it was too good, which is fine... but the problem was they didn't report anything anywhere... not even on website, not on forums, nothing, even the game magazine interviews skipped that question so people went berserk on the PlayOnline forum demanding devs to just tell us sorry for the error or something... what SE decided was to ban everyone complaining and close down the forums :) and of course without telling anyone that they are closing the forums.

I meant to reply earlier but got busy >< But yeah Yoshi said before each patch is worked on by different teams to ensure it is released on time :) If SE is going to delay things like this that is fine I guess?..we can't do anything about it anyway but rant and be bored but I wish at least they show us some new stuff to keep our interest :) People WANT to keep playing..they want to stay interested but it makes it hard when there is lots of delays and info is sparse! I am not complaining myself, just stating what I read on the forums and on 2ch.

I'm playing Tales of Abyss on 3DS until the predicted release date, and if it is delayed I still get my PSVita that day and I might even be sick from Mardi Gras since it ends the day before.
