Actually someone unfamiliar with the story would probably just assume that “Omega Turn 3” is just a shorthand term used to refer to the third fight in the Omega raid storyline, rather than be specifically tipped off about anything spoilery.

You know, unless someone were to come into this thread and make a big fuss about it, this drawing attention to the presence of spoilers. :P

I've played since 2.0 launch regularly and never ran into something like this before. I am not epileptic, but I am very light sensitive and it triggers nausea and migraines.

Four attempts at this and I had to remove myself from the duty finder. I simply cannot complete this fight as is without getting ill.

My teenager plays with us and she has a VNS for her seizures as it is. This is one of the worst possible things in a game that can be put in. No one in our household will be able to do that instance until it's fixed and the lights are completely taken out. Please, SQEX.

I am sorry if I posted spoilers in the title thread. I was passing the info along, and wasn't aware that was actually a spoiler, so I do apologize. I could've worded it better had I known, and sadly, I cannot edit the post title to fix this. It's a very real concern though, and I'd like to think people could accept a minor non MSQ related spoiler in order to warn people specifically about the fight.

FFXIV is usually so much better than this than to put dangerous content into the game like this, and seizures can be fatal. In a game with an otherwise great track record, I know I was blindsided when people rushed to let me know it has intense sustained bright flashing in a fight. Yes, there's lots of flashiness and such, but not that sustained and strobe-like. Getting a little spoiler about the name of the boss doesn't really stack up against someone getting caught off guard and being in a potentially dangerous situation.

As someone who hasn't done it yet, and like another guy mentioned, I honestly thought that Omega turn 3 was just short-hand for the new set of raids. It only became a spoiler when people (who already know the fight) pointed out that it was, so it wasn't really a spoiler.

So thanks a lot for screaming "Spoilers!", spoiler-screaming was the spoiler.

Nothing will most likely be done as SE seems to not care about impaired players. See how long it took them to add a sort of colorblind mode(4.3 btw). Unless someone has a seizure bad enough to get media attention only then will they change it most likely. This could just be the cynic in me though /shrug

I don't think that limiting everyone for some ppl problems is the best solution. SE should "ADD a option", and not "CHANGE for everyone". Could add an option, similar to the color blind one to drasticaly lessen the brightness, so that everyone can configure the best setup to play. I think that would be enough and good for everyone.

Agreed plus seizure warnings come on all video games. People that suffer from that already know that playing games in general can cause issues so I'm sure outside of this they're taking necessary precautions.

There’s more brightness and flashing than usual in this fight? Honestly didn’t even notice, but I hope there will be some sort of solution for people having issues like the option to disable certain enemy effects or something.
