Never did the date with Barret but I'm pretty sure it was a close friend thing and not a romantic thing? The cross dressing thing was done with a very light touch, it wasn't just flaming like the fabulous photo.

If FF7 wasn't dark in gritty I'm not sure what is.

No, there's no room for "context" here. You date a dude in FFVII, therefore, it's gay. I mean, maybe the players who like the FABULOUS thing in this game are just having fun? No, they all want dongs all up in their business. End of story.

Oh, and I take it back. FFVII WAS NON-STOP GRIT AND DARKNESS!

I just looked the scene up on youtube, you ARE taking it way out of context. First off they never called it a "Date", players might but the game didn't. It's clearly just cloud and Barret hanging out, I mean while they're on that ride at the end Barret's asking him which one of the women he likes for crying out loud. It's not a date.

And I never said it was perfect but it wasn't unbearable. And yes it was a dark a gritty game for the most part. Golden Saucer getting shot up, the people on the ship getting slaughtered. Villages burnt. Reactors getting bombed. Sector 7 getting wiped out.

I could add a hundred things to that list.

This may sound simplistic, but I'd really like a /thank emote. Tossing a random cure or protect at someone, and getting a /thank you in return is time well spent.

English is my second language, but I'm not dumb enough to identify "she's" as a mistake. Because... it's not. "Request's" is. Now kindly shut up.

Also, while my comment was (as well as this one is) off topic, it was not an insult at all. I've literally always wondered why people do that so often.

I'm not constantly badgering people. It was just a light-hearted comment that's not even remotely hurtful. I'm sorry you take it as if I'm trying to offend anyone, but that's not the intention here. I tend to have a short fuse on these forums, because the people seriously get on my nerves. This was not one of those occassions. In fact, I'll delete that comment now if it so offends you.

and the fabulous im talking about has NEVER been gay, its just been about "looking good" and "flashy" (not just any old outfit/average)

I never said I hated anybody, my original point was just that I didn't want a /fabulous emote. Yeah it's one thing to want nice looking gear, an emote like that would be painful to watch. And I would be careful what I joked about, didn't the dev team take the my little chocobo thing seriously and start calling it that? (Don't remember the details)

Yeah they did, my point was it was significantly darker than the rest of them and that was a large reason why it did better here. It's why is batman doing better here than superman, people relate to a darker story better.
