Ahh... I didn't realize that was an error that stopped allowing me to donate stuff to them. I finished the restoration on the first week it was available, and then was denied the ability to donate at all the following week... so I haven't tried to trade anything else to them since.
I've been stocking up for the next iteration though, so I'll just wait til the system gets expanded and further restorations are possible.

It's rare for a game to take us back to one of the villages we've saved so we can see how the residents have recovered from whatever problem they had faced and we had solved for them. The Doman reconstruction is letting us watch that happen with minimal input from us as we go about saving the world in other places.Quote:

If you're not enjoying it then don't do it. Nothing about the reconstruction is tied to character progression. At most you miss out on the novelty items on the vendor, which are primarily geared toward housing fanatics, and getting 20k gil for 11k gil worth of vendor trash each week. -

they did screw up the Doman Reconstruction in two ways
- didn't start it right away (should've been around at launch of x.1 at the latest)
- didn't put any end game NPCs there, some combination of Tomestone or Scrip vendors here at the start would make the place more active. they could've had the princess come here for Custom Deliveries and relevant scrip NPCs. -

they couldn't start doman reconstruction right away because of the story. the exchange had to happen first for the doman people to come home.

The Doman Enclave however is not Ralghar's Reach. But since the storyline takes place in two separate areas, two separate headquarters need to exist. It very well may become a HUB just like Idyllshire or Revenants Toll...Who said it won't?!
You can say all you want that it's an optional content and what not, but there's nothing stopping them from putting in several relevant characters and have their generic speech bubbles say something like "I hope they will start rebuilding soon." or the like if a person didn't progress in it yet. Have these special vendors (like Rowena) bring in just the core stuff, with their inventories increasing as the rebuilding progresses ("As the warehouses are rebuilt, merchants have space to store more wares.").
Though...not like it really matters to me. It doesn't need to be any more relevant than Namai or Tamamizu, both of which are just yer average towns with nothing in them (sans Kojin in case of Tamamizu). You'll go there for some main quests, some side quests (which can be added to the Enclave as the reconstruction progresses as well!). If a town have beast tribes then that...Otherwise it's just going to be an aetheryte location...And in case of the Enclave, you actually see it being built which gives that much enjoyment.
I mean...this is an RPG game with a rich story. So yeah...I really do the enclave for the story. I don't care about the gil or the stuff being sold in the vendors. I just care about the vendors appearing, even if they sell the same things every other town does. -
