First successful housing patch??

Just checked this minute and when I logged at 3am there was houses available at both times. Yes you wont get your desired plot, but it is far easier to relocate to a plot u want in the future than waiting for a relocation timer to end. End of the day they have met the demand for players u can get a house.

Only thing that needs fixed with the system is to delay the opening of the wards till at least an hour after the update. This at least gives players a chance to log on.

There were more than half a dozen plots available in my Mist subdivision on Faerie for most of the day. I'd call that a success.

I agree and disagree, they should bring wards online or sections at different intervals, as it will always favour a certain status quo, so in other words stager it,like locked for two hours wards 1 - 4 then opens up and so on. I think that would have been a bit better and they should have looked at supply and demand on which areas are popular. But people have different POV's people who got there dream spot will say everything was great people who did not will say no it was not. That is why I agree and disagree.

But eventually a new housing area will pop up and it will be the same thing again. I do agree about the staggered times + not straight after update goes live (wait at least an hour). If you just grab any when more become available u can relocate to another easy and skip the timer. If you don't do this u can be waiting hours before a house becomes available due to the wait timer.

I would definitely consider at least grabbing a house, even if it’s a small. That way, you are in the system and can relocate easily whenever a.) a plot you like better opens up, or b.) they add a new housing district or more wards. The only way I was able to get my medium was because I already owned a personal small. The smalls may be small, but at least with one you can hopefully have an easier time the next time housing goes out. May not be until next expansion, but unless they suspend the auto-demo timer again, there is always that.

It would be even more successful if they'd thought to make a new icon for a plot that is empty but not yet available.

How long ago was the plot emptied? Nobody knows!
How long until it becomes available? Nobody knows!
Should I camp this spot attempting to buy every 30 seconds? That's some fun and compelling gameplay if you do!

As someone who had to work yesterday, spent all day convinced his chances were up after saving for months to get a house, then got home to find plenty of small houses to pick from... I'd say it was a great success! Didn't get one in Shiro, but I'll take any district for a shot of having a place of my own. My only quibble is for SE to please put a notification to indicate when a house may be repurchased. I had half a heart attack running around trying to find one that didn't give me an error.
