I want a jive talking Alisaie.
I want a jive talking Alisaie.
I don't have this problem cuz I've been listening to FF14 in japanese a mere two weeks after I started playing.
It's been over a year and half and I have not regretted my choice :)
Take it from someone who’s lived in Texas all my life and has no perceptible (to my ear) accent: You’ve got one, you just don’t hear it because you’ve normalized it to your ear. It might not be as pronounced as others’ around you, but if you travel out and ask a non-native for their honest opinion, they’ll tell you it’s there.
Being from the southern US, the first thought that sprang to mind the first time I saw anything of FFXV: “what the hell is this?”, albeit in a far more profanity-laced manner. :p
Having an in-game culture from somewhere that has the southern accent could be done in an interesting way, but I’m of the mindset that such characters would simply be stereotyped for sounding like a bunch of dumb rednecks. :(
Thancred would obviously have an Argentinian accent.
I want Spanish voice acting ; ; But this game offers... almost zero Spanish support. There are games that were dubbed in Spanish that sound amazingly good: Diablo 3, Deus Ex: Mankind Divided or Batman (Arkham series), for instance.
Aww, Kisagami. It's all meant in fun.
You think. *chuckles*Quote:
Having lived in the usa south all my life, I despise the accent. Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaate it. Somehow managed to avoid developing one myself thankfully.
EDIT: Read your reply to another poster. Really? That's cool! I have the opposite problem/blessing. I pick up accents unconsciously just by being in an area and having folks talk to me. It just happens. My family has even commented on it. Funny thing, I can't actively do an accent if my life depended upon it. Hence, why I dropped my dream of being an actor.
Great point!Quote:
Well, there are 12 countries (and a french territory) at South America with a wide variety of english accent.
There will be a wide variety of male lalafell options.
Just a humor thread, Kazgrel. :DQuote:

I actually have a high opinion of speakers of southern american and other regional accents. It's all part of our mixed heritage.
While I am under no illusion that SE will implement a Southern Ga. voice acting option, I'd suspect they wouldn't stereotype a bunch of characters based on their accent if they ever felt a region in their world would reflect that culture.
