Welcome to what it feels like to be a PvPer in FFXIV. Let's have tea. I love your hair.
I'm sorry but did any of you actually read the interview? Yoshi said nothing about MNK? Yoshi didn't remark:
"These two major issues would occur, and so we decided not to move forward with the idea. I understand the desire to improve gameplay, and I’m still very conflicted about this. However, we are continuing discussions within the development team on this topic."
I"m sorry but you guys are just hating to hate, they are looking into it but there is no concrete information as to if changes will be made or not.
Nah man. They ain't doing shit. If they do anything to Monk it'll be them making their oGCD's have a chance to proc another fucking tackle.
Yoshi's comment was him regurgitating the exact same thing about Greased Lightning IV that they've said multiple times on the record. He completely sidestepped the question about specifically why tackle mastery and brotherhood are so god awful. Him repeating the same stock-phrase like a pre-programmed toy and then saying "we're looking into it," has no bearing, especially when Monk has remained completely untouched and ignored since Stormblood's release. The only comments ever made about it officially is just "we didn't want to do Greased Lightning IV." That's great they're saying it but it's ultimately irrelevant because people aren't saying "oh monk would be 100% good to go if only it had GL IV..."
We're not hating just to hate, we're just not gullible as all hell. This is the same person who's constantly promised the "male bunny suit," a total myth for years, the same person who promised that FC and personal housing would be separate. The same person who thought that at the time FC housing released that the average player had tens of millions of gil, which if I have to tell you, was farthest from the truth. Yoshida is not infallible, and he's capable of lying whether it be maliciously or not. He's capable of making mistakes.
That was entirely in response to Greased Lightning IV, it wasn't in response to what the question was actually about which was Tackle Mastery being the most insulting excuse for a new trait in Stormblood and Brotherhood's issues with making Monk hyper reliant on party composition.
Oh
Oh
Well I guess the exception to the rule means its suddenly fine. YoshiP should definitely use that for his future interviews.
<Some future interview> "Will there be any change to Dark Kn-"
<Yoshi-P>"Ultimate Baha was cleared with it. Its 100% fine. Please look forward to it."
"But what about the--"
"PLEASE.LOOK.FORWARD.TO.IT."
