I didn't say anything about revamping. That's exactly what I meant. More wards and reviewing feedbacks.
Depending on which feedback they actually agree with, it could be anything.
For now, only "more wards" is certain.

Both of you are completely misunderstanding my point. The average player doesn't have access to more than 1 gardening patch (8 plots), because it's only possible to get more than 1 gardening patch when owning a medium or large house (2 patches with a medium, 3 with a large). Asking to give every single player access to more than 1 patch would essentially give everyone the production rate of a player/FC owning a mansion.
Let's look at the numbers here:
There's currently 288 large, 672 medium and 1,920 small plots in game, this makes for a total of 4,128 potential gardening patches per server.
Now let's take Siniztor's suggestion, assuming 7,500 characters (a randomly picked amount, but not far fetched when looking at server populations). Let's assume 25% of these have reached rank 3, 50% have reached rank 2, and the last remaining 25% are still at rank 1. This puts the total amount of potential gardening patches at 22,500. Oh look, you've just quintupled the gardening supply, I sure wonder how that'll affect the demand! (/sarcasm).
Now let's assume all these players reach rank 3, that's a potential of 30,000 gardening patches, over 7 times the current amount of potential gardening patches.
Man, just imagine all of these players cross-breeding cloudsbreath in all their 4 patches. There'd be a possible 240,000 cloudsbreath seeds after 5 days, totaling at 480,000 cloudsbreath available 5 days after that! Magnificent, the server just produced the materials for 60,000 flying chairs in just over 1 week! I guess they'll have to discard 52,500 of them, since there'd only be 7,500 characters to actually learn them.
Or maybe they should all grow krakka roots. Who ordered 4,320,000 krakka roots after just 3 days? Wow, that's enough krakka roots to feed every chocobo for each of those 7,500 characters for 24 days, and that's when feeding them all every single hour. (/sarcasm)
If you feel limited with 7 patches, you're obviously trying to get everything at the same time, which isn't something that the devs intended. You have to prioritize what you'd want to grow first. Yes, it'll take time to get every minion and mount from gardening, but things generally take time in an MMO, XIV is not an exception in that.
As for the assumption that I don't do gardening, I've done the glazenut and mandragora farming back in 2.x, the blood pepper farming in 3.x, and currently the cloudsbreath farming, and I've been just fine with the 2 gardening patches that I have access to with my FC. Yes, it'll take a while to get everyone mounts, but this isn't a feature that's supposed to get you everything in a minimum amount of time.
It's debatable because it's currently one of the few reasons to even join an FC, why take away from that? Hence why I would limit it to just 1 airship per player, because it'd be incredibly silly for every player to be owning a fleet of 4 airships.Quote:

Me feeling im limited was a joke but i guess it went over your head.
That's okay, you think it's not overkill, I think it's overkill. They're both opinions. However, it's not limited. You can still crossbreed with 1 patch, it'll just take a bit longer to grow things.
Humour doesn't translate well with just text, hence the (/sarcasm) in my post.Quote:

Your suggestion would essentially make the feature useless after a bit less than 2 week, since everyone would be able to get every new thing out of it within that timeframe. The stockpile of said materials would then pile up to the point where everyone would get any further new thing (when crafted with the same material) on the very first patch day, at the cost of a penny.
Which is why my post said one of the few reasons, not the only reason. Aside from airships and FC buffs, can you name another thing that someone would be missing by not joining an FC?Quote:
