Almost same specs here and I got beaten by a bad launcher who wouldn't let me in. My gf got in before me on her ps4 and she got a large plot.
Another thing that may make things a bit better is if they made apartments a bit more desirable. I have an apartment just for the sake of saying "I'm not homeless" but their isn't much you can do with an apartment other than decorate it. You would still be locked out of content such as airships (Honestly airship raids suck. They are just randomized 24-man raids but instead of fighting big cool bosses you are just fighting buffed up mobs), but I avoided that by joining a free company that already has a company house.
Thank you Hyomin for the well thought out post. I wish I could like it twice. Admist all the rage something like this is super apperciated. We should keep the conversation going though as hopeful future homeowners. I don't want this topic to sink to the bottom and be ignored.
You summed it up well, OP...and it was ridiculously constructive feedback. I applaud you.
Same happend to me, have a quite new and advanced gaming laptop, me and my BF logged on on the same time and i was hit by lobby error and he went thru flawless (he just didnt have the house founds since im the FC leader so i had them) I was stuck in lobby error and stuck play button for 13 mins and saw on my BFs screen all houses go poof over the time of 10-15 mins (all wards) :( and we are on Phoenix and thats not even the bigges server in EU
Bumping this so hopefully SE sees it
I got in 5 minutes after the servers went live, and by then, every version of every last plot I wanted was gone.
It's been 3 years since housing was first implemented, or nearly that, at least. Yet the flaws in this system have been apparent since 2014, and until now, they have gone completely unaddressed. I wouldn't be here if I didn't love this game and the experiences it has given me, but I'm not blind to its flaws, and they deeply disappoint me.
This isn't a problem that has a complicated solution. Instanced housing would fix almost all the problems we, as a community, have with the system. No more rushing, no more competition, no more people flipping plots, no more people reporting homeowners out of spite or desperation. I don't understand why SE chooses to cling to this system, because it is creating so many problems for them and for us. If you still want neighbourhood communities, simply create dynamic wards, as suggested before me.
More than disappointed, though, I feel rather betrayed. SE promised us our money's worth when 1.0 burned. I tried so hard to overlook Stormblood's flaws when it came out. I still have to overlook this patch's flaws. I'm starting to think that SE believes that people withholding their negative comments equals them being completely satisfied with the product, which is just not true. It's also a very disappointing outlook from a company that I trust and support as a customer.
Even if server was perfect, people will miss out. Who are you going to blame then? Hacker? Pos porter? Hell, on reddit there were people accused of hack just because they can find a house
