Same with Yda. When they were introduced in 1.0, highlanders didn't have their own separate models yet from what I've been told. They kept their midlander appearance going forward once ARR came out for aesthetics and continuity as far as I can tell, though frankly I'd just rather they'd have retconned and made them full midlanders given how little they resemble others of similar ancestry.

I dunno, according to those trustworthy and humble Garleans, they are superior in every aspect aside from the ability to manipulate Aether which they are making strides in fixing.

They also made the Ala Mhigan national anthem better, so they win.
