[DEV ???] Primal weapons need to go to pool. 100 battles 0 weapons (100% Totem/Nut)

i think your just a bad example, or you are extremely exagerating on how many times you havent gotten a drop

The lack of having weapons dropping to the loot list is SE's half arsed attempt at trying to make the sheer pittance of content last as long as possible. "If you want X weapon, go kill the same boss 100 times, mkay!" Personally, I'm 170 kills with 6/7 weapons so I'm probably one of the lucky ones XD! If there were more than 2 fights in game that were actually worthwhile doing (and let's face it even Ifrit it's losing popularity now) SE would surely have weapons drop to loot list. Let's just hope that when we see the actual content emerge in the upcoming patches, they realise, especialy as we are gonna be paying, we don't want this kind of BS any longer!

I just can't imagine why they don't just slams XI's system into the game it was simple and sweet.

Shared loot pool anyone can lot/pass in, there were a few tiny issues but even with that it's far better than what we have now. The low drop rate isn't even the issues it's the low chance that you will find yourself with the correct item at the end of the day.

So you work 30 years and your boss calls you and 7 others who just started: "Okay guys! Just let me get my dices so I can randomize your promotion!" <.<

Please be careful of what you wish for. If they put weapons in a pool LS's will start up that horrid point system they had for dynamis in ffxi. Miss a run you lose the rite you get a weapon for two weeks. Don't have 50 points too bad it goes to someone who does and can't use it. Just joined well you can't loot for a week. When you finally get the points and go to lot oh the leader forgot to add your name to his notepad so you miss out.

It would be nice to pass weapons you don't need to someone else but I don't want other people to see if I get a drop. I like the way it ninja's the item to you. If they must add a pool type thing I hope they make it so the item goes into the loot list and IS NOT displayed to the rest of the party so you aren't asked to give up a item you don't want to by others.

Now as far as your bad luck goes did you forget your lamp? Did you remember to open the golden chest?

sounds more like the shell you where in just sucked, the one I was in was much more fare, and understanding about RL things. In fact the point system was a great idea, it allowed the ones who worked harder get what they want first.

in my LS people did not lot (and it was discouraged to do as well) on items they did not need or could not use. and you never lost points, just gained them, so if you missed a run, you where not to far behind.

It's nice running content w/ players who are actually committed to the game and the linkshell they are apart of...

I would gladly welcome a system that relies on players being fair and deciding amongst themselves who gets what loot. Ideally we would have a need/greed system already in place, or at least a lotting system like FFXI, but we don't. What we have is the current loot mechanics that are simply frustrating and insulting. Totems and charms have not fixed anything.

A simple honor system would be better than the present system in place for Ifrit and Moogle, in my opinion.

I support this thread. A LS member of mine has been literally doing Moogle multiple multiple times every day for 2 weeks and has 3 nuts, no weapons to show for it, while another ls member has them all...

To the "you will just quit playing if they increase your chances of getting weapons" group: Some people ALREADY have them all lol. How is that fair for them to see their friends getting all the weapons while they get none? This model wont help retain players, it will only frustrate them to the point of leaving the game.

This needs to be looked into further. Period.

that was more then one shell. It took me a few month to find a decent one and even then I still had some issues. The type of system you said your happy with was one of the ones I wanted to avoid the most in ffxi. It makes it so new players can't catch up to the older ones at all and the players that have been around the longest always get first lot. You get forced to wait till everyone who joined the LS before you gets the drop before you can even go near it. Even then you still end up with people trying to ninja drops.
