I'm not saying make a generic healer. I'm saying even the smallest change, especially in this game, can mean the world of difference and how important it is to take note of that. Even my Sorcerer concept, for how different it looked on the surface compared to other tanks, still followed the same skill template as every other tank. This healer concept that I posted before Stormblood, despite being fairly different compared to what healers we have, still follows the same healing toolkit as every other healer.
Melee healers, caster tanks, multi-weapon users; all possible as long as you follow the templates. For me, it's not "status quo" when it comes to making concepts, it's sticking to boundaries to show that they can be done. If I really wanted the kind of change like you suggest, then you may as well be making something for a different game since that sort of change hasn't really existed in FFXIV. Even with the mechanics reworks, there's still not really any change outside of correcting a change that shouldn't have happened in the first place.
