I don't see any problem with it though. Big whoop it only lasts 30 minutes when active. The gysahl greens aren't even that expensive. There are bigger dish to fry like getting Sleipnir flying.

I carry 1 full stack at any given time, I dont like the timer either, but meh just got used it now
Ghysal greens are one of many gil sinks SE uses to combat inflation. Just like gear repairs, teleports, and all the other little things that chip away at our bank accounts. This is the system working as intended.
Just getting used to something uncomfortable isn't really the best practice? This timer doesn't seem to have any real purpose, the gil amount is nearly neglectable, so no timer or making the Gysahl stack (more gils?!) would be nice
Frustration on this is taking it a bit far though :)
No one is missing the point, what you are complaining about isn't even a issue as the above posters have already proven. I'm still trying to process people that seriously use chocobos for non-instanced content to the degree where you would actually need that many gyshal greens. I just find it kind of perplexing why you would need to be using your chocobo that much, let alone at all in the first place.
this is an incredibly minor inconvenience that likely serves to reduce on screen polygon counts when players don't actively need their chocobo out.
Well, I get annoyed when the timer runs out, but to say there is no logical reason for it, I disagree. It's food. You have to feed the Chocobo, it was explained by the guy who gave you the quest to get it to help you in combat.
