Please never change Bard (feedback)

I echo the sentiments of the OP. Bard is AMAZING! It's exactly what the job deserved! :)

i finished my brd to lvl 70 just a few hours ago,as well!

At first I was VERY sceptical cos "lolwut? I need to HIT mobs with my songs to use them....?"

and I also think Foe's Requiem is quite the joke ...I mean... 3% dmg increase for like...what... 5 seconds? It drains MP so damn quick. At least remove the cast time on it so its easier to weave in.

But other than getting used to the whole revamped song thing, I really started to like it.
And i LOVE how I can support tanks/heals during big pulls that might be troubling for either of them (nature's minne+ palisade on tank, army's paeon -> troubador for decreased physical vulnerability, then swap to mage ballad and full dps mode!)

Foe's MP is pretty large but it's to make up for the fact Foe's isn't only a MAGIC based song anymore.
Everyone can benefit from it, so I'll take it. Also, you can use refresh on both you and the healer
so you can bring it back again faster or keep it a big longer if you'd like. I just see it as an extra kick since you pretty much
have 100% up time on Critical Hit on the other songs. :eek: I agree with the cast time though, some times
I don't even use Foe's because I keep thinking it's instant so I cancel it. x.x

Can they at least have their Critical Up buff (from songs) effect them as well?

Unfortunately they also put the entire MCH in the garbage at the same time, which makes me rather sad as it was by far my favorite job in HW.

I'm less dissatisfied with the song system then I guessed from the announcements. I'm happy to be able to move again.....but I want my AoEs back. So, I'll give the new Bard a thumbs up I won't say don't change it.

Think of it as a burn phase cooldown, it's really strong during pulls because everyone pre-pots and burns their big dps cooldowns at the start.

As a career BRD since 2.0 through thick and thin, I have to agree with the OP that they have truly fulfilled my BRD dreams with Stormblood! It completely fulfills my fantasy of what the job should be, and plays so smooth and fun! Does it need tweaks? Sure. but please, KEEP the core design you have here! It's pure gold.

I agree this iteration of bard is so far the best and most fun, props to whoever made these bard changes. Old bard never made any sense how you got penalized for supporting the party.
