My math might be incorrect but Aspected Benefic's actual potency is 230 because of the 15% bonus of nocturnal stance. A 250% potency shield off of that is 575 potency. A SCH's shield is 300 potency.

Im aware of how aetherflow works. I'm pointing out you can't directly compare an aetherflow ability to another healer's cooldowns because WHM and AST skills don't lock you out of other abilities. Indom is a good skill, but it can't be directly compared to Earthly Star.

The whm ultility is to provide more healing... when needed which dominates all the healers currently

But this is the forums where people complain without thought

I was indeed counting with LOC... a practically free 9-10k HP heal is no joke, and despite it being locked behind RNG I find that both in 8 mans and dungeons I land this fairly often enough to consider it a dependable resource. With sleeve draw you get a chance of it being ready immediately - AND if your "draw" is useless paired with your "royal road", you can use minor arcana again for an extra 50% chance of yet another free heal.

As for WHM, access to lilies is so EASY youcan blow off all your time locked heals and have their cooldown lowered (besides freecure which despite having always been there, further allows for WHM to heal like a truck with like, no MP cost whatsoever).

Only diurnal is 140 potency.

Nocturnal aspected benefic is 230 heal potency. 200 base + 15% healing increase from nocturnal.

230 x 2.5 = 575. Therefore the Heal potency is 230 + 575 = 825 a cast compared to 600 from adlo.

A critlo is 900. Crit noct aspected benefic is 1238. Divine seal makes it scale higher.

So I'm guessing you haven't really played much since SB release, right?

Look the healers have changed stormblood have killed main and off healer roles


as a healer do your job and prevent and use ur kit to deal with the correct mechanic

if u dont have the correct kit for the current mechanic that what your healer partner is for to cover mechanics that you cannot deal with because you lack the require skills to deal with that mechanic

And if ur a sch spamming skills none stop and trying to solo heal... quit and reroll whm because ur playing a whm role

The point we're trying to make is that AST is better at SCH's role than SCH is. If SCH's job is to mitigate and AST does it better why bring a SCH?

Pretty much this. Plus you have to consider the lower cost and instant cast time of Aspected Benefic. Just to dispel some confusion, the 140 potency on Aspected Benefic is the regen portion of the spell under Diurnal Sect. The base healing on this spell is 200 for Diurnal Sect and 230 for Nocturnal Sect. Either way Astrologian's have strong, better, cheaper shields than Scholars have.
