What exactly did we have to do during the event?

I just talked with the NPC, walked around town a bit, went back and had acquired all the ice needed. At some point I must've done something to trigger that, but what was it?

You had to go out and throw the snowballs at the snowman. >_>

I already did the quest. However, you had to pick the quest, where it asked to gather 30 ice something. After that, it asked to speak with the NPC again so he made the snowballs, then go to the black shroud and /snowball Father Frost.

However, on that first step, I don't remember doing anything special at all to get the ice, I just walked around town a bit then talked with NPC again. This is the point where I want to know what I was supposed to do, because it simply flagged as 'done'.

I've already completed the quest, I even got the reindeer avatar lol.

It was ice shards from your crystals inventory

Has anyone got any info on the Christmas armor for the Chocobo yet? Anyone max rank in their GC to see if it's up for sale?
